At The Hive December 5th
I had a fun time in Los Angeles. My friend Shane and I crashed a dinner party. We ate some great food and met some interesting folks at the party. Thank you Shane, Andi and John! Then headed over to downtown LA for the opening reception at the Hive. There was quite a lot of people there, great art and an interesting marionette show I couldn't quite see through all the people. My friend David Gough also had a great painting in the show. There is a photo of him and his painting posted above. I am currently working on a new painting for the January 9th show at the Hive.

Interactive Art Show Video Game
A few months ago the artist Dark Vomit aka Kelly Hutchison asked me to be apart of an art show / video game him and his wife Crystal were putting together. The game is up now and you can download it for free. They did a great job with the galleries and the game. The artists involved are all living in San Diego and there is a plan to have a live group show somewhere in the future. It is an interesting project to be in. The best part was getting to hang out and meet the other artists! To download the game please go to http://www.interactiveartshow.com/

The Japanese American National Museum
Last night I was able to attend the preview night for the custom kokeshi show. If you live in Los Angeles I highly recommend stopping by. The show is going on until October 4th. I had a wonderful time and kept wanting to look and relook at all the kokeshi. The Museum is located in Japantown which is close to Chinatown and downtown.

Sneak Peek of the Kokeshi I Painted
The title of my kokeshi is 'Mosura.' I can't wait to see all the kokeshi! Here's a link to the curator Christina Conway's journal. Also for the Japanese American Museum where the exhibit is displayed.
Irwin my hometown
I took a trip back to PA last month. The idea was to visit with family and friends and also work on some new pieces. It didn't quite work out that way but I still had a wonderful time. I got to stay with my best friend and her family and also witnessed my mom throw clay. Even though I fell ill for a few days I still went to the Carnegie Museum in Pittsburgh. I was especially intrigued by Janet Cardiff and George Bures Miller: Opera for a Small Room. A room inside a crate inside a huge dark room with old records and things. The sounds were quite eerie while sitting in one of the only 4 chairs in the room but there was something beautiful about the experience.
